چکیده

Various electrodynamic models of a combustion chamber with an initiated subcritical streamer discharge used to ignite combustible air/fuel mixture are considered. To localize the in working chamber, initiators based on half-wave electromagnetic vibrators resonant properties applied. The dependencies structure electric field forming geometric parameters initiator obtained, and integration generator microwave radiation is discussed. Calculations performed for various orientations respect optical axis chamber. Possibilities further enhancement at poles developed results obtained confirm possibility using high-pressure chambers. ways increasing resulting vibrator form determined. potentially important study ignition mixtures induced by discharge.

Branching of Streamer Type Corona Discharge

The behaviour of positive streamers in air is studied in a rather homogeneous field created by a short plane-protrusion gap in air. Branching is observed to be quite limited, the velocity of the streamers increases with travel distance and “late” streamers are observed. The interaction of streamer heads can be interpreted as electrostatic repulsion, while “late” streamers seem to be attracted b...

Modeling of Heat Losses Within Combustion Chamber of Diesel Engines

The cylinder working fluid mean temperature, rate of heat fluxes to combustion chamber and temperature distribution on combustion chamber surface will be calculated in this research. By simulating thermodynamic cycle of engine, temperature distribution of combustion chamber will be calculated by the Crank-Nicolson method. An implicit finite difference method was used in this code. Special treat...

Fast - Discharge - Initiated KrF Laser

Intense laser emission has been observed from the KrF molecule formed by a chemical reaction initiated by fast-discharge circuitry. With a gas mixture of He:Kr:NF, = 500:50:1 and a sample pressure of 700 Torr, an output energy of 0. 8 mj was measured from a 25-nsec laser pulse (FWHM). Spectral analysis of the laser emission indicated laser action at 248.5 and 249.5 nm.
